Radiation oncology is entering a new era in which treatment decisions are no longer based solely on anatomical imaging but are increasingly guided by the biological characteristics of individual tumors. Biomarkers have the potential to transform radiation therapy into a truly personalized modality, enabling not only improved patient selection but also optimization of treatment approach, sequencing, and timing.
This symposium will examine emerging biomarker-driven strategies that enable more adaptive and response-guided radiation therapy. Particular focus will be placed on the integration of functional imaging and radiomics into treatment planning and delivery.
